High School Stats: “Last year, I played varsity for Evangelical Christian School of Fort Myers and batted .616 with 45 hits and 34 stolen bases and led the nation in triples with 14.”
What was your experience at Florida PGF States:
PGF States was overall a really good experience. We played really well as a team and each and every one of us contributed in a big situation. There were a few games where we were down, but our energy and our timely hits won us those games.
How did you become involved with your travel ball team/organization?
I became involved with this team when Coach Johnny (Manetta) came to one of my practices when I was 12 years old and invited me to one of his practices. I saw this as a huge deal because these girls were two and three years older than me, and since that day of being at that practice I fell in love with the coaches and the girls. Every practice, each one of my teammates are pushing each other to get one percent better every day. Playing on this team develops such a high softball IQ and works on all the fundamentals in practice, while having a family of coaches and teammates beside you.
How did your team do this past summer?
My club team had a very successful last season, as we played up in a lot of 18U tournaments and came in the top of a lot of the big tournaments, not only did we play in some big tournaments. Eight of my teammates ended up committing within the past couple months.
What should we expect from you club team this summer?
We plan on staying together and continuing to grow as a team, while traveling the US and playing in the top tournaments, including Atlanta Legacy, Junior Olympic Cup and PGF Nationals.”
What should we expect from your high school team this spring?
We are expecting big things this spring. We just brought in Coach Manetta, who has won multiple state championships. Last year, we lost in the Regional Finals to the eventual State Champs.
Do you have a secret talent/skill?
I used to be a competitive gymnast growing up, so I can still do a bunch of different flips and tricks.
What’s your most memorable softball moment/story?
My most memorable softball moment would probably have to be making it to the Junior Olympic Finals or my diving catch against Mojo in Texas tiebreaker to save the game.
